School Supplies Needed
We are collecting school supplies for Starside Elementary and Lexington Trails Middle School. This year they did not receive any supplies at the first of the year as they usually do and the teachers are having to purchase them out of their pockets for children whose parents are unable to afford them. These supplies are very inexpensive – a package of pencils, markers, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, pocket folders, crayons, 3 ring binders and glue sticks. Most of these are $2 or less. Pick up a few things and place them in the container in the Narthex.
Finding Bethlehem in the Midst of Bedlam. We will also hold a two week study on December 8 and December 15. It’s not too late to join us in this study.

Benefits Local Church Members
Nashville, Tenn.: The General Council on Finance and Administration (GCFA) Office of Corporate Partnership is announcing a new program. UMCmarket will allow members of The United Methodist Church the opportunity to shop online at some of their favorite places while generating a donation to their local church.
Online shopping to benefit the local church.
UMCmarket, an online shopping community designed especially for members of The United Methodist Church, provides a portal to access popular retailers. Members can shop online whenever they want. With each purchase, a percentage of the sale can go to the church the shopper chooses. Membership is completely free and it takes less than a minute to join.
The benefit of the program is that a shopper can designate his/her own local church to receive a percentage of the sales. For information on how a local church can add the link to their website, contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
We have begun a prayer group for our congregation. If you did not receive our interest notice and would like to be included in the group who receives the prayer requests, please contact me and I will put your name and contact information on our list. Thank you. Linda Patton, (913) email@example.com
